Lindsey & Sean’s Engagement shoot happened on one of those perfect fall days where the vibrant colour of the trees were breathtaking, and the leaves were all coming down surrounding the couple. And even though it looked like it was going to start down-pouring any minute, the rain managed to hold off until we were done. We walked all the way out to this massive field at the end of the shoot where this amazing old tree was and lots of tall grass, and as soon as we started to shoot it started to rain! So we hurried back just in the nick of time, because literally as soon as we started heading back the sky opened up and started to downpour on us. Thankfully I was still able to get a few shots with that old tree because they’re my favourite. :) Lindsey & Sean are such a sweet, fun couple and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding on July 20th, 2013!

Allison and Brett are a super adorable couple, so I wanted an extra special location to photograph their engagement shoot in. Since they love the outdoors and rustic barns, I thought Balls Falls in the autumn would be perfect for them. It was just so gorgeous there, the wind was howling and bringing a lot of the colourful leaves down on the ground, which only made it that much more breathtaking. I just love how Balls Falls incorporates the majesty of nature with rustic barns and old brick homes. Needless to say it was a ton of fun! Once Jiyu & Alex said they wanted to do a fall engagement shoot in Unionville Markham I knew it was going to be a breathtaking photo shoot, as photographing in the fall is one of my favourite seasons! So many spectacular variations of colour, it just leaves me so inspired. We had so much fun on our photo shoot, we went around Unionville to different spots. I got them to roll around in the leaves and throw them up in the air. They also brought a few props such as a massive bunch of balloons that was their wedding theme colours of coral, mint green, and light pink. We wrote their wedding date on them, it was super cute.

I can’t wait to photograph Jiyu & Alex’s wedding on May 17, 2015 at the Auberge du Pommier. Jiyu & Alex are a super adorable couple so I’m sure their wedding will be a reflection of their deep love for each other. :)

Alissa & Sean’s engagement was the best day ever to photograph in, as the breathtaking fall leaves were at their most colourful! I can’t wait to post their photos from their wedding this past April at the Rosewater Restaurant! They’re the cutest couple EVER! I loved photographing every moment of their engagement and now their wedding day.

Alissa & Sean’s fall engagement

Alissa & Sean’s engagement photography was the best day ever to shoot in, as the breathtaking fall leaves were at their most colourful! We started our day by doing some photos by the Harbour-front, but then I convinced them to do the rest of the photos at Brickworks, which is one of my favourite venues to photograph in! (Not that anything’s wrong with the Harbour-front).

We had so much fun doing photos there! I always like going for a walk around the boardwalk area as there’s a big smoke stack behind you which makes for architectural interesting photos! It was pretty chilli that day so I got Alissa to bring a blanket with them which we used in some of the shots. One of my favourite installations there is definitely the living wall that’s all rusty and makes for unique textures. There’s also a community garden there so there’s a TON of green space mixed with the backdrops of the funky building.

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in April at the Rosewater Restaurant! They’re the cutest couple EVER! I loved photographing every moment of their engagement and now their wedding day.
